What it does and how it works
Sigur allows the user to add custom fields to cardholders’ files based on which access rules can be defined.
Any standard or custom field added by the user to a cardholder’s file can be used as a parameter based on which the system will decide whether to apply a certain access rule to a certain employee or group of them. You can add parameters of different types: boolean, list, time, date, date and time.
This feature can be used to make your access control options more flexible by taking into account the specifics of your company not directly related to physical access control. For instance, the system can automatically track compliance with briefing and training schedules and deny access to employees who have missed the dates.
As a less strict option, you can choose to show notifications that the employee needs to complete a certain training to the security officer. This notification will be shown on the monitoring screen as a text line, icon or a training schedule when an employee is passing through certain checkpoints.
Automated export of additional data about the cardholders from an external database
You can manually add custom fields to a cardholder’s file, which will be used by the system to check whether certain conditions are met, or you can upload them from a third-party IT system using Sigur Data Sync tool.
However, you should keep in mind that if you use this functionality, dependencies and cross-references will be created in the system which can be quite complex and confusing. In case of any doubts, please contact Sigur technical support.
NFC terminal
This functionality can also be implemented using an NFC terminal, which is convenient for mobile registration points.
