Connection of basic displays
These can include such combinations as green arrow / red cross, available / occupied, etc. These displays are often used at parking lots to inform the drivers on parking space availability or may indicate directions of movement with arrows.
These displays are connected through a dry contact to any available slot on the controller.
Connection of traffic lights
To control vehicle traffic in the territory of your site, you can connect traffic lights to available terminals of your Sigur controller. If there are no terminals available on your controller, e.g. they are used to control your boom barrier, you can use an external relay to connect traffic lights. For more information please read our manuals.
Traffic light controls are implemented locally independent of the server and will be exercised even if Sigur server is unavailable. When two vehicles are trying to drive through one barrier from the opposite sides, the green light will first light up for the vehicle that first received an access permit.
Vehicles can be identified using a contactless card, RFID key fob, number plate (if integrated with a video surveillance system), etc.
The light switches from green to red:
-
Immediately after the through-beam sensor at the barrier has been triggered (generally, a photoelectric sensor is used for these purposes)
-
Several seconds before the driveway (barrier) is closed if the vehicle fails to drive through before the barrier has timed out. The timeout value is set by the user
Capacity limitation
In Sigur, you can limit the number of people or vehicles simultaneously staying in a certain area, which is highly useful for parking arrangements.
When the pre-set number of entities has been reached, anyone who will try to access the area will be automatically denied by the system and the respective event will be registered. Information about the space availability can be shown on an information display.
