Sigur mobile terminal allows you to create a mobile access point from a regular smartphone or tablet and record passages where it is impossible or unprofitable to install a full-fledged access control system.
These may be temporary facilities or facilities located far from the main buildings, such as construction sites, mining facilities, or simply checkpoints located on the outskirts. This solution is also convenient for keeping track of personnel at various conferences or off-site seminars, which are often held in rented premises.
Monitoring employees entering the company's premises in corporate transport using a terminal often not only speeds up the access process, but also increases security, as the security service has the opportunity to personally verify each employee.
In addition, the mobile terminal can be used to mark evacuated employees at the assembly point in case of fire and other emergencies.
Any mobile device running Android OS 5.0 or higher is supported. The app is available for download on Google Play.
In general, almost any format is supported. If the device has a built-in NFC module, it supports Mifare Classic, Plus, DESFire, as well as MasterCard PayPass, Visa PayWave, and MIR bank cards with a built-in chip for contactless reading.
For identifiers of other formats (e.g., EM Marine), external USB readers can be used. It should be noted that the device on which the terminal is installed must support OTG technology, and the reader itself must be able to operate in keyboard emulation mode.
Both Wi-Fi and mobile Internet can be used to transfer various information between the server and the terminal. There are two possible terminal operating modes:
Online: the terminal is always connected to the server in order to receive information about employees and their access rights, as well as to send access events.
Offline: the terminal operates autonomously — both employee information and registered events are stored in the device's internal memory. When a connection is established, all accumulated events are transferred to the server.
Both modes support working with multiple IDs for a single employee.
Along with other access points, the status of the connection to the terminal can be monitored in real time in the Sigur client software.
Employee data stored on the terminal when working offline, as well as all traffic transmitted between the terminal and the server, is encrypted.
When a card is presented to the terminal, the security guard will be shown the most complete information about the cardholder: their photo, name, position, and various notes. After verification, pressing the appropriate button will register the passage.
In addition, the device can also notify you that the pass is about to expire.
The terminal can be configured so that when the card is presented, registration will take place without any intervention from the security guard. This can significantly increase the speed of registration.
