A particular place in Sigur exposition at Intersec, which will take place in the middle of January 2025 in Dubai, will be given to mobile identification solutions.
Thanks to the large indication capabilities of MR100 readers, which are the basis for building such solutions, the support of different operation modes with mobile devices, as well as convenient tools for their customization, Sigur products are truly becoming an uncompromising offer in the market for mobile identification solutions. The proof of this is the thousands cases of our products use, and the RedDot award, received in 2020 for MR1, the forerunner of the current reader model.
Operating modes
Support of BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) and NFC (Near Field Comm.) technologies provide using for identification any mobile devices, independent of the manufacturer and operating system they run. By the way, the selecting one of communication interfaces allows the user to choose the scenario according to which his identification takes place at the access point. For example, by choosing BLE, a long-range identification, up to 20 meters is available, as well as a "hands-free" mode that provides the doors unlock without taking the smartphone out of the pocket.
Every solution has its own advantages, but the main thing is that the system can easily adapt to the environment and the user's needs. For example, by entering a parking lot, it is more convenient to use BLE technology - when the driver identifies, being at a distance of several meters from the access point, without getting out of the car or even opening the car window. Otherwise, choosing the NFC interface, when the mobile device emulates a proxy-card, time of response and distance to the reader are guaranteed to the system user.
Readers indication
Another point directly impacting on usability is the advanced indication capabilities of MR100 readers. Every reader is equipped with a widescreen speaker and a multi-color light indicator. This makes it possible to reproduce multiple reactions to system events, speaking to the user in the same language.
For example, in case of access denial, the denial reason can be sounded by the reader, and in case of an emergency, together with the work of the notification system, MR100 readers can control the movement of employees according to the evacuation plan.
We believe that Sigur mobile identification delivers the best user experience available in the security market today. Moreover, we have considered, in addition to a host of settings and features that make it easy for the average user to interact with the device, Sigur readers management and installation are as convenient as possible. This approach simplifies the work of engineers maintaining or installing the system at facilities.
Other features
A unique bayonet mount is used for installation, providing the base to be first fixed, and then the device itself can be easily rotated to get connected, similar to the way of changing the lens in modern cameras.
Of course, the base can be mounted on a standard socket. Having chosen this installation way the data and power lines are to be routed through the same channels as all the wiring in the room. The indication settings, software update or the firmware upload can be performed centralized using the SSDP (Sigur Supervised Device Protocol) interface, which is an extension of the standard OSDP.
By connecting MR100 readers to ACS controllers that do not support this interface, the same operations may be realized through the mobile app available for free download on Google Play.
