Sigur is demonstrating advanced biometric solutions and other secure identification products at Intersec 2025

The main news of this year is joint solutions with Suprema, which allow use of its equipment, including facial recognition terminals, fingerprint scanners and other devices, as a unified package based on Sigur software.

Access control systems have evolved significantly over the past few years, from highly specialized solutions designed for a limited number of users to universal products that are suitable for organizations of all sizes, including small businesses. Despite the tendency of small companies to choose "convenience" rather than "access strictness", pushing the market to develop according to their needs, the segment of companies for which "security" is paramount is still huge. In order to change the level of security, it is possible to use "classical" approaches as well as modern methods, including biometric technologies

Secure Identification

For example, it is possible to increase the level of security by switching to Mifare format IDs, which have anti-copying and anti-counterfeiting tools. Their use in combination with Sigur hardware and software significantly improves the security of facilities.

Sigur provides both software and hardware to support Mifare IDs. MR100 readers are compatible with a wide range of identifiers, including Mifare cards (Ultralight, Classic, Mini, ID, DESFire, Plus, SL1, SL3), EM Marine, MasterCard and Visa contactless bank cards (in static UID reading mode), as well as iOS and Android smartphones.
The reader's ability to work with different types of identifiers will be demonstrated in one of the booth zones at the show.

In cases where a customer's equipment does not support this technology and its modernization costs are prohibited, it is possible to implement biometric terminals. Such devices integrated with Sigur software (Suprema, HikVision, Vision Labs, BioSmart, NTechLab) allow organizing identification based on biometric data, which is actively implemented in the oil and gas industry, banks, business centers and other industries in the Middle East.

Integration with Suprema

At the stand, Sigur will demonstrate integration with Suprema biometric terminals. Currently, Sigur solutions support work with such devices as BioEntry W2 fingerprint scanners, BioStation 3 facial recognition terminals and FaceStation F2 universal models combining fingerprint and face recognition functions.

The terminals scan the biometric data and transmit them to the Sigur system to be checked against the registered IDs. If the data matches, access is granted, e.g. a door or turnstile is opened. If necessary, biometrics can be combined with traditional methods such as cards or PINs to provide tighter controls.

Identification and verification

Interacting with third-party manufacturers, for the convenience of users, Sigur equipment can operate in several modes: identification and verification. At facilities with a large employee number, access control may become less comfortable, and the time to pass through the door may increase, when identification is set.

If you would like to know more about the capabilities of Sigur equipment or get advice for your project, you can visit our company's booth at Intersec 2025 in Dubai.

We look forward to seeing you at Sigur stand!
