The UAE, Morocco, China: Sigur Expands its international presence through industry exhibitions

For the second year in a row, Sigur is actively participating in international industry exhibitions, connecting with potential partners and clients worldwide.
We spoke with Irina Kuznetsova, Head of Business Events at Sigur, about the company’s upcoming exhibitions and what she expects from them this year.

Irina, could you share some insights on last year’s outcomes and the international events Sigur attended?

Irina Kuznetsova:
I would describe last year as a period of exploration, research, and rethinking. Last year, we introduced Sigur to new audiences. We took part in events across various regions, including Dubai, Bangkok, Sarajevo, and Tashkent. Despite these geographical differences, our main goal remained the same: to present our equipment — E2/E4 controllers, MR100 reader line, as well as our integration capabilities with third-party systems and the potential for building comprehensive security solutions.

What destinations can the company achieve by participating in international exhibitions?

Irina Kuznetsova:
Being part of these events is not just about showing our strengths — it’s also about understanding how technologies are evolving, identifying customer needs, and observing market players. Ultimately, all of this can influence our product strategy. Another key objective is establishing business connections and expanding our partner network. These exhibitions attract a highly engaged audience and create valuable opportunities for strong partnerships.

For instance, right now, one of our main goals is to build trust in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region and demonstrate our long-term commitment to this market. Intersec plays a crucial role in this strategy. We see strong demand for IT solutions in the region, and Sigur products, which are already highly valued, have the potential to be implemented worldwide. Moreover, the United Arab Emirates is entering a new phase of economic growth, focusing on strategic investments in future industries and solidifying its position as a global hub for advanced technologies. We are ready to be part of this transformation.

Which countries will be a priority for exhibitions this year?

Irina Kuznetsova:
Analysts predict that over the next 5 to 6 years, the most promising regions for Access Control (ACS) implementation will be Latin America, the Asia-Pacific region, the Middle East, and North Africa. We take these forecasts into account by planning our annual calendar. Meanwhile, we are not limiting ourselves to these markets and are ready to supply our solutions wherever there is demand.

This year, we started again with Intersec in Dubai and are now preparing for upcoming exhibitions. In April, we will present our products at Gitex Africa in Morocco — a completely new direction for us. We look forward to exploring the region’s unique security landscape and connecting with potential clients and technology partners.

One more event on our calendar is China Public Security Expo (CPSE), the largest security industry exhibition in Asia. For us, this is a logical step in strengthening our international presence. With an office, production facilities, and warehouses in China, this exhibition serves as a key stepping stone for our expansion in East Asia.

What are your expectations for this year?

Irina Kuznetsova:
Entering new markets comes with both challenges and opportunities, and we are ready to embrace them head-on. We are ready to embrace these challenges and are not afraid of complexity. At the same time, we see these as growth opportunities.
This year, we plan to further expand our global exhibition geography, strengthen technology partnerships, and launch new joint projects. Our solutions bring significant value to certain markets, and we want the world to recognize their potential as well.
